Program Summary
Explore our vibrant workshops!

Fanzine, drag workshops, popular Galician culture, bike reparation, dances, astronomy...

In the afternoon, we kicked off a "Do It Yourself" bike repair workshop to get our rides in top shape for the journey ahead. 🛠️⚙️🔧 It was all about teamwork, grease-stained hands, and making sure every bike was road-ready!
We also got to meet the amazing folks from A Galleira, a local community project.
To end the day, we cooled off with a swim in the Miño River—much needed in this heat! 🏊♀️
The following day, we hit the road! 🚴💨

Bike Repair

Dia do cultura galega

Music & Tradition! 🎶
We started by learning about Galicia’s deep-rooted traditions led up by our partner in Germany @deberlinson. Magic happened when we picked up the pandeiretas (tambourines) and let the rhythm take over. 🥁🔊
With everything we have learned, we went to the street to share and dance some puntos on the river beach of Cerdedo.
Then came the singing! 🎤 Hosted by O Rabelo, we gave our all to "O Baile de Noró", our voices weaving together like the steps of the dances we were about to learn.

Dance workshop 🕺
Jota, muiñeira, agarrado—step, point, circle! With each move, we connected not just with the music, but with each other, laughing, spinning, and embracing the pure joy of movement.
This workshop wasn’t just about learning—it was about feeling the heartbeat of Galicia through its music and dance. And now, wherever we go, a little piece of this rhythm goes with us. 🌊🎶💛

Bailade, amigues, bailade,
que o voso bailar me alegra.
Se o voso bailar non fora,
non estaba nesta terra.
Ese bailadore que bonite é,
debuxando voltas na punta do pé.
Na punta do pé, na puntá do pé,
ese bailadore que bonite é.

We started with "Conceiving Fantasy" 🌈✨—an incredible character creation workshop led by none other than @putxnenaza and @meiga_i.
Next up was "Recycladrag" ♻️, hosted by @di.sashta and @endisneer, where we learned to craft iconic costumes using recycled and repurposed materials—creating maximum artistic impact with minimal environmental impact. 😉
In the afternoon, we brought our ideas and fantasies to life, shaping them into words and movement. And to top it all off, we closed the day with a Drag Gala, where our newly created characters took the stage in all their glory. 🧞🧚♂🧜 Simply, wow.
Huge thanks to @adogardarrios for making this possible and for sharing their work and space for such an unforgettable day.
And of course, we wrapped it up the only way that made sense—dancing the night away at Cerdedo’s local festival! 💃🎶🎡

Drag Workshop

We swapped our bike helmets for stargazing caps and set off on a cosmic adventure! 🌌🚴♀️
We visited the Forcarei Observatory, where we got up close with the massive telescope and learned about the mysteries of the universe. With expert guidance, we traced constellations across the sky, and learnt a lot about galaxies and stars.
Between gasps of awe and whispered "wows," we realized that the sky, much like our community, is vast, limitless, and full of dazzling stories waiting to be told.
And just like that, under a blanket of stars, we felt both tiny and infinite. 💫

A night under the Stars ✨🔭

Fanzine

After miles of pedaling, laughter, sweat, and a few glorious snack breaks, we’ve put together something special: our very own fanzine! 🖌️✨ A patchwork of stories, sketches, poems, and reflections capturing the essence of this wild and wonderful Erasmus+ adventure—where queer joy meets the deep roots of Galician traditional culture.
From the magic of muiñeiras danced under the stars to the freedom of biking through open landscapes, every page is a tribute to the connections we’ve built—between each other, with the land, and with the histories that shape us. 🌿💃
This zine is more than just paper and ink; it’s a love letter to the roads we’ve traveled, the songs we’ve sung, and the community we’ve created. It holds our shared memories, our queer resilience, and a good dose of mamarracheo (because what’s a trip without a little fabulous chaos? 💅✨).
Long live queer bodies, long live Galiza, and long live the spirit of the road! 🏳🌈🚴♂️🎶🌊
